Freshman Buddies
Starting High School can be a difficult transition. It is more important than ever for students to feel like they are part of a greater community. Link Crew is here to help. Each link leader has a small group of Freshmen that they are connected with for the entire school year. We reach out to our Freshmen buddies through phone calls, lunches, group chats, and events. Link Crew is here to support Freshmen in being part of our Patrick Henry school community. 

BRINGING FRESHMEN INTO THE COMMUNITY

Freshmen Events

8th grade tours
​Each Spring, 8th grade students from neighboring middle schools come to visit Patrick Henry. Link Crew leaders give them a tour of campus and introduce them to their future school community.
Patriot Orientation
​At the end of the summer, incoming freshmen are invited to attend this special event. Link Crew give tours of the school, introduce tips for academic success in High School, and lead games to introduce freshmen to new friends.
First Day of School
​The first day of school can be intimidating for new students. Link Crew leaders greet freshmen with a friendly smile, help them get their schedules, and guide them to their classes.
